It's an understatement to say that holiday dining looks a lot different this year. After recently noting where to go for Thanksgiving and Christmas, we compiled a list of restaurants that will be offering New Year's Eve and New Year's Day options. The downtown draw is offering a Rio de Janeiro-themed party package at two of its popular party spots, FOX Sports Midwest Live! and Sports & Social. Tickets start at $75 and include an all-inclusive premium bar from 6–10 p.m., socially distanced table reservations, a DJ, live exotic birds, a snake charmer, and Carnival-style dancers. The popular downtown restaurant is offering both dine-in and curbside pickup for New Year’s Eve. If you choose to dine-in, the complete menu will be available. Chef Gerard Craft, Josh Adams, and the Cinder House team are offering an exclusive 4-couse dinner inspired by cuisine from four South American countries.
- Course One (Venezuela) - Farm egg, chicken skin, caviar, potato, coriander and parm brodo.
- Course Two (Columbia) - Octopus caldereta, cream corn, avocado mousse, patacone and fresh chives.
- Course Three (Argentina)- Wagyu zabuton steak, honeynut squash, dried plum, white truffle and jus.
- Course Four (Chile) - Poached pear, grape compote, rose gelee and black pepper ice cream.

This season, the courtyard patio at Edera has been transformed into a winter garden with individual six to eight person "chalets" that are available for private dining. On NYE, a prix fixe menu will be offered with a champagne toast for $125 per person. Two-hour seatings are available at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Edera will also offer a full menu indoors as well. The award winning Chesterfield winery restaurant is offering both patio and take-out options for NYE. Dine-in seating is offered on their covered, heated patio will be available from 12 till 10 p.m. Make reservations by phone. 550 Chesterfield Center, 636-532-0550.
Ben Poremba's sister restaurants in Botanical Heights are all offering special NYE packages, spread out over three nights beginning December 31 and rolling through January 2. Elaia is offering a four-course menu with chef’s special selections and supplements; tickets are $75 per person (plus tax and gratuity) and include a glass of sparkling wine. Olio is featuring its Hummusiya menu and special items; tickets are $45 per person (plus tax and gratuity) and include sparkling wine. Nixta is featuring a tasting menu with cocktails and flight specials. Tickets cost $65 per person (plus tax and gratuity) and include a seven-course menu and mezcal margarita. The French-inspired American bistro is offering revelers both a dine-in and carryout option. Two seatings are planned for NYE. The first seating begins at 5 p.m and features a four-course menu for $100, with an optional wine pairing for $50. The second seating, at 7:30 p.m., features a five-course meal with an optional wine pairing for $60. The holiday to-go menu includes a salad, an appetizer of Ozark forest mushrooms, caramelized onions, Comté-stuffed pastry tarts, an entrée of poached lobster and filet mignon, and dark-chocolate bread pudding for $75 per person. The December menu includes a peppercorn pork chop (smothered in thick and creamy sauce with thyme, Dijon mustard, shallots, and black pepper), chicken Parmesan zoodles (zucchini noodles and marinara topped with marinated chicken breast and Parmesan-encrusted zucchini spirals), pulled pork mac and cheese (tossed in a sweet and tangy barbecue sauce), and a pork quesadilla (seasoned and served with house-made guacamole and salsa). The Union Station location is offering a surf and turf dinner for $54.59, which includes an 8-ounce filet and an 8-ounce lobster tail with a seasonal side. The restaurant will be open on New Year’s Eve from 11:30 a.m.–8 p.m. 1820 Market, 314-231-4040.
Le Meridien St. Louis Clayton and The Capital Grille
If you're planning to get out of the house just for one night, here's an NYE option. Book a room at the new Le Meridien Hotel, and feast on an in-room gourmet meal from nearby The Capital Grille, delivered directly to you. The Rack House Kitchen Wine Whiskey / Tompkins by The Rack House
Exec chef Philip Day presents a la carte service, plus a 3- and 4-course prix menu ($45 and $55, respectively), is offered at both locations. The $7 sourdough bread service with cultured butter and sea salt, is a must-get. Of note: Staff will be wearing masks, but guests are not required to wear them. Tables will not be socially distanced. Toast from the top of the St. Louis Wheel, which will be open until 10 p.m. (Champagne, hot chocolate, and other drinks will be available for purchase.) The Soda Fountain and Train Shed will also be open until 10 p.m. And don’t forget the holiday cocktail bar inside the Grand Hall. Carryout Options
Chef Jim Fiala’s homage to Italian cuisine is offering a five-course, to-go option for two. For $125.00 the package includes:
- White anchovy salad with shaved fennel, pea shoots, orange vinaigrette
- Roasted cauliflower and saffron soup with pickled shallot
- Egg Raviolo with chicken confit, herb, three cheese and melted leek butter
- Braised Veal Cheek with whipped potato, roasted mushrooms, braised baby carrot and sugo

The Webster Groves restaurant is offering its December Holiday menu for pick up on NYE. The family style menu serves 4-6 people. Main course options are E3 Ranch Rib Roast ($89) or a Brined Buttonwood Farm Turkey Breast ($59). The restaurant will offer a variety of holiday party packs:
- Holiday Dinner Pack: Choose one to two entrées of smoked turkey, smoked brisket, smoked portobello, or ham with mashed potatoes and gravy, sage and cranberry stuffing, glazed carrots, green beans with candied bacon, and Hawaiian rolls. $20 for one entrée and $24 for two entrées.
- Meat lasagna feeds 10 people for $70 or 20 people for $100.

The esteemed catering company has a full roster of seasonal options: starters, salads, sides, and entrées, including sliced beef brisket, roasted turkey, rosemary pork loin, three mustard glazed salmon, and herb-encrusted beef tenderloin. The award-winning Chesterfield winery restaurant has created two dinner options, each for two people. Each package includes one salad choice, (Caesar or House) and one dessert choice (Chocolate Torte or Blood Orange Mousse Cheescake). Also included are specialty drinks or a bottle of wine for take-home. Main courses are as follows:
- Surf & Turf ($115) - Two 6-ounce grilled filets with pistachio herb butter, two 6-ounce butter poached, cold water lobster tails, prosciutto wrapped asparagus, cognac manchego risotto.

The New Year’s menu includes individual chateaubriand, prawns in sherry lobster cream sauce, New Year’s Salad, steamed asparagus, and Midnight Mousse cakes, all available at a la carte prices. Acclaimed chef Rick Lewis will offer meal packages for both NYE and New Year's Day. The former includes a full slab of St. Louis-style ribs, two pounds of garlic buffalo wings, and pimento queso dip with seasoned tortilla chips for $70. (The packages serves about three to six people.) The latter's Good Luck Plate includes a half bird of Rick’s Famous Fried Chicken, cornbread (to signify gold), Hoppin John (to symbolize prosperity), and collard greens (for good fortune) for $16 per person. Chef Kevin Nashan is looking to make NYE a little easier for anyone looking to celebrate with either a lobster or shrimp by offering complete take-home boil kits for both. The Lobster kit ($32) comes with everything you need to create full lobster experience. It includes a 1.25lb Maine lobster, brussels sprouts, andouille, a house made biscuit, seasonings and instructions. The popular Lafayette Square restaurant is offering a New Year’s to-go package featuring a four-course dinner for two, which includes a butternut squash bisque, mixed lettuce salad with basil red wine vinaigrette, horseradish-sour cream mashed potatoes, roasted balsamic Brussels sprouts, dinner rolls, flourless chocolate torte, and a choice from the following entrées:
- Beef tenderloin filet with crab hollandaise (two 5-ounce filets): $130
- Tom’s seafood chowder: $110

- Burger with preserved Périgord truffles, crème de fromage, seared foie gras, and maitake mushrooms
- Potato Gnocchi with maitake mushrooms, celery root, and lemon, finished with preserved Périgord truffles
- Tenderloin beef Wellington with mushroom farce, spinach crepe, puffy pastry, truffle-madeira jus, glazed carrots, pomme purée

The restaurant offers Christmas and New Year’s dinner options for two:
- Christmas Dinner: Spiced fig braised short ribs with mozzarella mashed potatoes, winter vegetable gratin, Brussels sprouts with bacon jam, maple cranberry sauce, dinner rolls, and bread pudding with apricot glaze for $130.
- New Year’s Dinner: House appetizer platter with bread, choice of sweet potato lobster bisque or winter salad, choice of lamb shanks with butternut mashed potatoes or Amish lemon, rosemary chicken breasts with roasted vegetables, and either a flourless chocolate torte with berries or carrot cake for dessert. $175.
