She is a visionary with a background in painting, architecture, and fashion design, and is the founder and president of Barrett Barrera Projects and its subsidiary spaces—projects+gallery, projects+exhibitions, and Guest House—which produce exhibitions and projects that create a dialogue on contemporary issues through art and design.
