We're thrilled to have you as a podcast guest!

You should have received a Google Calendar invitation from Kylie Green (kgreen@stlmag.com) confirming the date and time of your interview, as well as the address of our studio (2816 Sutton Boulevard, Maplewood, MO 63143). Contact the podcast host if you have yet to receive an invitation. Review these tips prior to arriving to ensure a great experience for yourself and our listeners.

Environment:

  • Silence your phone.
  • Don't shuffle papers. Keep documents away from the mic. Even if you think you are quiet, the noise will still be picked up by the mic.

During Recording:

  • Stay upbeat! Energy and attitude matter. Listeners evaluate a guest by audio.
  • Keep answers concise. Punchy, tight responses are best.
  • Remember the content is edited. Although we're recording your interview, the best ones sound live.
  • Not every word or statement will be perfect, which is why every podcast is lightly edited.
  • If something goes wrong, it’s okay to ask for a do-over.
  • Drink water. We will provide H2O to keep handy.
  • Be aware that the interview will be recorded on video. We currently use video for internal purposes only and it won’t be used publicly.

Promote the Episode:

  • You will receive an email with how to share the podcast episode on your social media platforms after it's released.
