The long-awaited Chicken N Pickle entertainment complex in St. Charles is set to open Tuesday at the Riverpointe development (1500 South Main). Pickleball will be among the main draws at the 2.5-acre facility, with 11 indoor and outdoor courts available to players of all skill levels. In addition to pickleball, guests can get active and socialize with yard games, such as cornhole, bocce, ping pong, and Jenga.
Runners can now sign up for the third annual Chain of Rocks, which will take place March 24 at 9 a.m. It’s one of the few races that allow participants to run in two states, with the start and finish line located at the foot of the Chain of Rocks Bridge (4205-4207 Chain of Rocks Road) on the Illinois side. Register for $25 before January 10.
Prepare for the new year by finding your inner peace. On December 20 at 1 p.m., Joy of Yoga (8918 Manchester) will offer a free guided meditation session designed for winter rest. If you’re unable to attend in the studio, then sign up and have a recording sent to you within 24 hours.
