When my kids were little, our spring breaks never lined up. I was teaching high school in Illinois at the time, and our spring break was a long weekend around Easter, while my kids had the more traditional week break in March. Because far-flung destinations weren't possible, I was always looking for nearby locations where we could, if nothing else, spend a long weekend together. This week, we're thinking about looking ahead to spring break plans. We're sharing drivable destinations that would be great for both a long weekend or a weeklong stay. And if you need to stay closer to home, we're sharing Instagrammable spots that are sure to be a hit with your kids. Safe travels!
