A MESSAGE FROM SPIRITS ADVOCATE CLARA NOBLE

This holiday season, whether toasting with loved ones or looking for that perfect gift, remember that everyone has a different palate and preferences. There’s nothing wrong with mixing whiskey with soda or serving it on the rocks or neat. Just enjoy the camaraderie and the holiday spirit. And on a spirits-related note, SLM recently launched its first podcast, Arch Eats, a series hosted by dining editor George Mahe and dining contributor Cheryl Baehr. The series explores the latest at local restaurants and bars, as well as insider tips, behind-the-scenes insights, and informed takes from industry veterans. Follow Arch Eats on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, or wherever podcasts are available. Happy holidays, and cheers to the New Year!

HOT SPOT

Luvwoo Bar Opens in West County

If you enjoy live music, homemade snacks, and craft cocktails, then stop by the new Luvwoo Bar (12965 Olive). Helmed by Zyi Li, Jenny Wu, and Alejandra Cuervo, the bar serves up creative takes on classically inspired cocktails. The extensive menu starts with eight originals, followed by various classics grouped by their base spirits. If you’re feeling adventurous, order the Cuddles by the Bonfire, a fun and visually striking riff on a margarita riff. Or if you’re in the mood for something more recognizable, there are plenty of options, including a Manhattan, Tequila Sunrise, and French 75.
