As we’re approaching the chaos of the holiday season, it’s easy to get overwhelmed with all of the extra tasks and to-dos, especially if you end up hosting dozens of people. In years past, I’ve set out all the ingredients and tools with the idea that everyone could make their own drinks. The reality, though, is that as the resident bartender and holiday hostess, it's still my job to mix it up. So this year, I’ve decided to batch a few cocktails. I have no idea why I’ve never done this in the past—it just makes sense. Batching cocktails allows you to make quality cocktails for large parties and shorten your day-of effort. So this holiday season, you can sit back and enjoy the food and drinks. Cheers!
