My house is filled with the sweet scent of blooming roses, peonies, and lilies—thanks to last weekend’s May Day celebration at my daughter’s school, where one of the highlights of the event was the exuberant exchange of flowers among the senior girls. A big thanks to floral designer Morgan Hopkins and assistant Donna Sandefur at Flowers to the People. Not only did they introduce me to the pink-and-white Magic Time roses that my daughter handed out to her classmates, but they also worked within my budget. Click here to catch a glimpse of the flowers.
Speaking of things that bring us happiness, award-winning photographer Carmen Troesser (whose work you may have admired in St. Louis Magazine) recently launched Jewel Ridge Studio, a fine art print shop featuring a collection of her photos drawn from the natural world. Whether it’s flowers, food, or the sweetest couple of sisters you ever did see, Troesser captures the moment—romantic, moody, and full of surprise—in a click of the camera lens. She tells me that wallpaper murals are in the works, too.
Until next week!
