A message from Jordan Palmer

It’s officially Show-Me Craft Beer Month, with breweries across the state hosting pint drops and fresh collabs. At the same time, there are a host of new brews, events, and alfresco spots to sip—among them, picturesque Point Labaddie Brewing, an ideal weekend escape hosting live music, a farmers’ market, and rotating food options. And as Father’s Day rolls around, consider an alternate to the typical “summer beer” by ordering a low-ABV stout. Prost!

In case you missed it—voting is now open for the 2025 A-List Readers’ Choice Awards! Vote daily to show your support for local businesses.

The Scoop

đŸ”„ HOT SPOT

One-of-a-Kind Cask

Civil Life just renewed its Cask Marque certification. It remains the only Missouri brewery with the UK-based seal of approval for cask ale. Unlike most beers served ice-cold and fizzy from a keg, cask beer is naturally carbonated, unfiltered, and poured at cellar temperature. It’s tricky to handle and rarely done right in the U.S., which makes Civil Life’s smooth, balanced pours all the more impressive. Think of it as beer’s version of fresh-baked bread.

💬 INSIDER TIP

Raise a Glass to Local Beer

Show-Me Craft Beer Month is here, and it’s more than just a clever name. Missouri’s more than 170 craft breweries produce more than 9 million gallons of beer per year—and this June, they’re showing off. Watch for Missouri Pint Day on June 11 (with collectible glasses), a statewide Kölsch-style collab release on June 25, and special events from Ava to St. Louis. Follow @MOCraftBrewersGuild, and tag your beer pics with #ShowMeCraftBeer for a shot at swag.
