The solstice may still be a few weeks away, but summer feels like it's in full swing, thanks to the host of fun cannabis get-togethers, hikes, festivals, pool parties, and sound baths that are already filling up the season’s calendar. I’m especially excited for this month’s goat yoga, hosted by Introspectrum Events, which is sure to bring out the kid in you. (I couldn’t help it.) It’s so lovely to see cannabis enthusiasts forming communities across the metro area. One of the groups responsible for this sea change is JAINE, an organization that empowers women in the Missouri cannabis industry through networking, mentorship, and community-building. JAINE’s organizers shared more about their mission and what’s on deck in the coming months. It’s a wonderful window into this group’s important work. Until next time, enjoy the longer days and slower pace of summer!

The Scoop
🎨 community
The Church on Delmar’s new monthly series celebrates art and culture
When the SWADE Cannabis team opened The Church on Delmar earlier this year, they envisioned much more than a 420-friendly event venue. They hoped it would serve as a social hub where like-minded individuals could gather and create community. Last month, The Church on Delmar made good on the promise with its inaugural First Friday Showcase, an event dedicated to the local arts and entrepreneurship scene. Attendees can mingle with fellow cannabis enthusiasts and explore a variety of art and products from local makers and creatives. The event is BYOF—bring your own food and flower—with guests encouraged to patronize the neighboring restaurants and cannabis vendors.
